One visitor described it as a "very nice and well-maintained campground," which speaks to its appeal. However, some guests noted challenges with the gravel road leading into the park, which can be difficult for large rigs, and the proximity to a busy highway that may cause noise disturbances.

Very nice and well-maintained campground. There are a few shortcomings though. The main road going in and out of the park, which is gravel, is very hard to negotiate with a big rig, they either drag or just tires. The biggest drawback is it located right on a very busy highway, it’s busy day at night with lots of big trucks and heavy equipment, motorcycles, muscle cars, just a very noisy place. There’s not a tree in sight in The main part of the campground so I’m sure it’s very hot in the summertime. It was our first time there and I’m sure it will be the last time. That busy road and the traffic was enough to keep me from ever coming back. Mike Thompson Hiawassee’s Georgia

Really need to reconsider the No Dog Fence prohibition. No easy drive from Florida, and the first thing we like to do after pulling in is set the pen up and let the dogs get out of the RV. They are out of the way while I set up outside, and the boss sets up inside. We both presently have mobility issues that make it hard to walk them. That's why we invested the money for the pen. And No, we do not leave them out there unattended. Other than that, Leisure Acres is a solid spot.

We had a 5 day stay at Leisure Acres, 4 days on site 91 and one day on site 40. First of all if your looking for WiFi service it was nonexistent at this RV park you get good signal strength but no internet service. It comes and goes but never over 1 Mbps download speeds and no upload at all. So with no cable or internet service you’ll need to go somewhere else with service to download entertainment. On to the sites where way to small for most RV so you have to park sideways in front of your RV or you’d be sticking out in the drive! Both of the sites we stayed on were very unleveled so much so that my leveling jacks we’re unable to compensate. That being said the pond was nice with the ducks but the driveway going out had a hill that is way to steep so you end up spinning your wheels trying to get out. I’m hoping that this is a work in progress. There are other small things that need work but I guess for the price per night was ok.

I stayed here for a little over four years in both the short term and long term side. Over all was a great place to stay. Very nice views and plenty of things to do in the area. Throughout the years the staff changed. There was both good and bad during my stay. Lots of rules which is both good and bad. They do keep the place clean and quite as well as have several activities throughout the year. Most of the other campers were really nice people that are willing to help you out if you needed something. They have all the services onsite (showers, laundry, propane) as well as walking trails around a stocked lake. I would recommend this place to people looking for camping in the area, just make sure you follow the rules and everything should be okay.

Of all my years camping I’ve never seen a park that doesn’t allow vinyl winter skirting. The 3 page list of rules fails to mention this. And the sites are tiny.
