The park is very nice and clean (the grounds themselves). That, and the owner doesn't allow riff raff in. The laundry room is hideously expensive, not super efficient and not nearly well equipped enough to handle the amount of people that need to use it. I have been here for 2 years. The bathrooms get cleaned once or twice all winter. The sewage occasionally comes up through the floor drain while you are in the shower. The bathrooms only get cleaned during tourist season...and that is not daily. The owner, Linda is horribly rude and makes up rules and fees as she goes along. I have never once gotten a receipt for my rent or outrageously high electric bill. Our son came to spend the weekend with us and she yelled at him when he went to take a shower, quizzing about who he was and what he was doing there. He said he was there to see me and then she yelled at him for something she thought my dog did...he had no clue what she was talking about. She rides around on her golf cart looking for someone doing something wrong. She takes the time to give you a list of rules when you get here, but never a receipt for all the money you will shell out. When we first got here, she badmouthed Kampers West. We have stayed there before as well, and while the park is not as nice and the sites are way too close together, they do not charge for electricity and they don't make up fees and rules that change from day to day. The best thing about Kampers West is that they have two huge bathrooms and at least 5 showers. The bathrooms get cleaned EVERY SINGLE DAY and they have twice the amount of people in their park. There are also 7 washers and dryers. I am only here because it is minutes from work and the park itself is pretty and relatively quiet. It would be much more enjoyable if the owner spent more time making sure that the bathrooms were clean and that there wasn't poop splatter left on the toilets for DAYS, but she is far more concerned about whether or not someone has an extra car parked at their site for a few minutes. If you have company, they have to park in the overflow parking and walk to your site or you have to move your car to overflow so your guest can park at your site. I only wish that kind of attention was paid to the toilets and shower...the ONE shower. There is no excuse for the facilities not being cleaned at least daily. Especially for what she charges.
No Manager or call back with any information. Over priced sites are not level making it imposable to use. It also looks like they've bought up a bunch of campgrounds on RT 14 and in Vancouver WA. All of them poorly run. You would do well to stay clear.
Very rude staff, stalked my daughter who lived here for a year and a half, illegally charged her extra fees for her dogs and extra parking fees plus they made up new rules daily and harassed her. The showers were disgusting, the water pressure sucked, the laundry facilities are a joke, it takes $9 to dry one load of laundry. They refused to give receipts when paying rent and they charge you power and you have to just trust that your trailer is using $200 in power a month because that's what they say. Why was her rent $650 a month and 3 months later when I moved in they charged me $850 for a smaller trailer. All around worst place to park your trailer.
We've stayed at this great RV park many, many times and we LOVE it. The owners are fantastic and make you feel so welcome. We grew up in Astoria and return for reunions and this is without a doubt our favorite place to stay. Clean, and well kept, can't say enough good things about every aspect of this park!
Stopped here for one night headed back to Canada. Clean and tidy RV Park. Very quiet and convenient location. We could even see the Astoria Column from our site. Full hookups. Linda, the RV park supervisor was well organized and very sweet. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you so much Linda! Heather and Bill BC Canada
