🏞️ What is Worth Choosing: Focus on the Catch and the Quiet
LH Campground at Lake Humphreys is worth choosing for the Oklahoma user who prioritizes exceptional fishing and a quiet, natural environment over luxurious resort amenities. It stands out specifically because of its highly-regarded fishery—it’s not just a lake, it’s a recognized hotspot for catching bass and saugeye.
The presence of the enclosed, heated fishing dock is the single most compelling reason for anglers, providing a true advantage for year-round fishing comfort that few other public campgrounds offer. Furthermore, the commitment to providing a peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by frequent wildlife sightings and unmissable sunrises and sunsets, makes it a genuine escape from the hustle. While it is factual that the facility has its quirks (like a 'wonky' ticket machine or simple showers), these are minor trade-offs for a location that delivers on its core promise: affordable, accessible, and high-quality outdoor recreation in a classic South Central Oklahoma setting. For the dedicated fisherman or the camper seeking quiet reflection, LH Campground provides a fantastic value.

Men's shower needs a new head, the bathroom is not bad but needs a bit of maintenance, the automatic ticket machine is wonky, lots of fishing docks, deer, geese and other critters. No swimming. 31 Sites plus a pavilion for group functions and a tiny play area. Very quiet.
Beautiful sunsets & Beautiful sunrises at all of the points & areas of the lake! Nice variety of fish to catch, & live bait!
Nice camp ground. Fees are not friendly towards seniors. Two dollars off for senior camping. No Disability Discount at all. You can pay $15.00 a day or drive 15 miles down the road to Taylor lake and seniors camp for $8.00 a day. I know several disabled vets that aren't happy with no discounts. You want to wave flags and say you support the military. But when it comes to making money. We know where the city of Duncan stands!
Excellent playground my kids love it! Also so many deer to see and ducks gees IV seen a few eagles. Great place to go spend the day with friends and family.. the restrooms are awesome!
A beautiful place where life is at a slower pace. You can stop your car and the deer will walk up to you , to see what you might have to offer them.
