This RV Park was the closest we could find to the New York City area. It is a parking lot with power and water, not really much else but what else do you need with New York City being just a few thousand feet away by ferry or subway? The staff was friendly and we felt completely safe and secure in this area. Contrary to what is stated on the website, you cannot see the New York City skyline or Statue of Liberty “from your campsite”. The bathrooms were adequate and there is a nice laundry room with vending machines. The folder that you get when you check in mentions a game room but there wasn’t one. It was about $170 a night, which is expensive but not considering where you are. It would be nice if the rate would decrease a little bit the longer you would stay. If that was the case, I would have stayed longer.
We stayed from Wed-Sat. The spots were convenient to get into, plenty of space between units. Other visitors were very respectful of each other's space, privacy, and we're very quiet at dusk. It's extremely close to the light rail, which helped us get to other public transportation throughout NYC. It is also only a few minute drive to the ferry for the Statue of Liberty. Access is possible with larger RVs and campers. You're not in the "city" for long before you make it to the grounds, so you're only navigating tight roads for a few blocks. The employees were nice and the on-site security is a good comfort! I'll definitely stay here again.
Like all the reviews I read before I came here, it is in the middle of a parking lot. I felt safe, it is clean, and the staff is helpful. It's walking distance to the subway and light rail. Overall, the location is great for seeing New York and New Jersey.
This is an excellent place to stay when visiting NYC. The views of the Manhattan skyline are the best I’ve ever seen. Staff is very efficient and informative. Melanie gave us very detailed and simple instructions on using the Path train system and NYC subways. From the RV Park we were at the World Trade Center in less than 30 minutes, where you can take Metro Subway anywhere. We had a dog that park recommended Sophia and Alexander for walks and Alexander was great and sent us text updates. Liberty Harbor State Park for Statue and Ellis Island were only 15 min away
Had a view of the Statue of Liberty close to our camper. Small sites but we had plenty of room for outdoor space. Dump station is easily accessible. Bathrooms clean. Great security. Pleasant staff. Close to train to visit NY. Was very pleased and will definitely stay there if I return.
