What an incredible 3 day weekend camp retreat that our men's group was able to attend and enjoy. The staff was so welcoming. We decided to come up with more guys than just 2 last year. Four of us were attending for the first time, drawn with a desire to hear the speaker we had spent several years with at another camp. Chris, Mike and the entire team were great, communicating regularly, feeding us well and sharing the gospel and love of God through every interaction making everyone feel like they were exactly where we needed to be. The activities were fun, organized and ingrained with quality fellowship time. The giant slip and slide hill was a nice touch as well as guest housing and accommodations. We're already talking about next year. This is a wonderful place for you, your family and friends to disconnect from life's noise and experience the love of God.
Great place for family vacations, men’s retreats, women’s retreats, couples’ retreats… you get the idea. Great speakers, fun activities, helpful staff, and they give you a great plate of food. They praise and promote Jesus well to everyone who attends while also offering a relaxing and fun time. I went to their Momentum with my brothers, one who is a Christian and one who is not. My brother who isn’t a Christian did not come to faith during the weekend, but he said “I didn’t expect to be cared for and treated so well by the staff and the people attending. I guess Christians aren’t as judgy as I thought.”
Our family has been coming to camp at life action for 15 years. Always a great time, and always a big boost to our faith. Recommend it for sure.
Loved this camp. We went to the family camp. It it is for all ages, not just kids. It was a great time. There is crafts, boating, swimming, fishing, archery tag and all kinds of other games. The food is included in the price, and if you have younger children, you get a family helper.
I went here for a mandatory class assignment thinking I would not enjoy myself. Yet, to my delight I had a wonderful time. The lake is beautiful and the scenery is soothing to the soul. I was able to reflect on a lot of things while I was here which made the trip worth going!
What used to feel like a place of authentic Christian community and growth now feels increasingly performative. The atmosphere seems more focused on maintaining appearances than embodying the grace, humility, and servant leadership that this camp once stood for. Instead of fostering genuine relationships and spiritual development, there’s a noticeable emphasis on control, image management, and upholding a certain reputation. They’ve also reduced the amount of activities, which is insane considering how we pay to come. The experience feels less enriching and more like going through the motions. Overall, this camp is going downhill. I simply don’t feel Jesus here anymore.
