We stayed at Lighthouse Point June 30-July 3 (Monday-Thursday) in a camper. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff were kind and polite. We were at a pull-through site, which couldn’t be easier for getting set up. The campground itself was well maintained. Full hook-ups at our site, including sewer. We did not visit any restrooms so cannot speak to the cleanliness of those. We did use the pool and hot tub our first night there and that would be our only minor complaint. The water and surrounding concrete was dirty with debris from the trees and bugs, but otherwise, the water was the perfect temp. The little splash pad area is great for kiddos. The campground was quiet (obviously you’ll have the noise from the amusement park, but that is to be expected) and clean. The entrances to the amusement park and waterpark are a quick drive or less than 10 minute walk. We cannot speak to the condition of the cabins, as we didn’t stay in one. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and will be back!

The cabins are disappointing. Do NOT plan on sleeping on the futon, they are wildly uncomfortable, you will toss and turn all night and be exhausted for the park the next day like I was. That means the cabin sleeps 4, not six. There was black mold in the shower, and the bed our other guests slept on was broken when we arrived. The pool for the campground was DISGUSTING, no one dared to get in it. The only good thing about the cabins are the location. For the price we paid, I was very disappointed.

Beautiful and clean cabin. Somewhat of a far distance to walk to the park. They had a shuttle but we never were able to catch it on our way. Tons of bugs and cottonwood fluffing all over the place. The kids had lots of fun.

We stayed in a cabin over the 4th holiday. The cabin was clean and was in better shape than I expected. The grill was nice and we had a good cabin that shaded us from the early morning and late after noon sun. The first day at the pool was ok. Had other people blasting their music which wad horrible and we went back to the pool on the 5th. It was very dirty, cloudy and the kids said there was alot of dead bugs. Took 1 star off because of the pool.

The location of the cottages is awesome. Very cool little deck. This won’t likely be your experience but ours started out pretty bad. We arrived a little before 4 and couldn’t get in yet so we parked in the shade and went into the park. We went back to registration around 5 and our cottage still wasn’t ready. We were told 10 minutes and we would get a text when it was ready. We went in the car and cooled off and waited. After 30 minutes we went back in registration and were told there was an issue with our card reader and it would be another 10 minutes and we would get a text when the cottage was ready. We waited 20 mins with no text and ended up just going to the cottage. The door opened with no keycard. I called and asked if they could check the reader just to make sure. Somebody came out 30 mins later and said it’s fine. We unpacked and went back into the park. We got back around 10:30 and our keycard would not work. We rushed to registration and they told use nobody was available to help us. My kids (6, 8, and 10) were tired, thirsty and hungry. We didn’t get into our cottage until 12:30 am. They told us they could t give us any food or water but we were welcome to drive off campus and get whatever we wanted….my keys and wallet were in the room already. This was pretty unacceptable. They actually had to break into the cottage to let us in. The cottage itself is fine. The air conditioning worked well. The microwave and fridge did not work at all. There are traces of black mold in the bathroom and shower. I probably would give the cottages another shot. I think they are outdated and it’s pretty dangerous to not have a backup if the card readers don’t work. It’s very sad as cedar point used to be an amazing place. It seems like the staff at the resorts aren’t well prepared and do t really care about actually helping.
