This is a beautiful place. I have not camped here, but I was asked to bring my search dog to look for a dog that fell into the river at the campground. At any rate, I would not recommend camping here with dogs or small children. In places, the ground is about ten feet above the river and there is no place for a dog or a child to get out. The current is very fast, even in August. It looks to me like the campgrounds immediately adjacent to this one are much safer, with lower banks and a bit of shallow water at the edge, to give a dog or a child a chance to get out. It is a beautiful location and I might want to stay here if I didn’t have kids or dogs. The dog that fell into the river still has not been found after a week.
What a great spot! Well kept sites with tent sites right on the river! A full hookup spot for your RV, water and drain for tent sites as well. Quiet area as well, just right for a weekend getaway!
