This place was freaking beautiful and have plenty of campsites for sure and had a nice little waterfall and plenty of beautiful views for sure there's this road to the left of the main campsite that you can go down and it has plenty of other campsites but I I would recommend that you have a 4 x 4 or something with more off-roading capabilities I would definitely come back to this place it was amazing and I really enjoyed it

We visited in July 2019. There are less than 10 sites (7?), It's about $20, bear lockers are at each site, there are vaulted toilets and no cell service. Maybe two sites still have tree cover the rest lost all there trees in an avalanche. It's nicely nestled inbetween two converging streams. If it's full you can try camping at one of the 22 sites on the road or at the portal camp ground down the road. The road is rough but was okay for 2 wheel drive sedans/compacts for about the first half. I would recommend having an SUV or truck if you plan on going all the way to the portal camp ground but you do you.

It is very pretty! There are lots of flowers! The river on the left tastes better then the river on the right. You should make sure to bring a filter because there is no tap water. I recommend the sites with trees so your tent isn’t too hot. Overall a great place to camp!

I took my 10 year old son here for four days. Since the pandemic started, he really has not been anywhere since his spring break from school. This was the perfect trip for him. We had so much fun, and the water was his favorite part. It was super cold, but he still got his feet wet with our dog. I highly recommend this spot.

Beautiful campground and stayed here for the first time over 30 years ago as a child. You can take Lincoln's Gulch Road (intermediate 4wd road) up to Grizzly Reservoir and beyond. Amazing nearby streams and waterfalls. Beautiful stars at night. Trail to the Grottos ice caves. Love this area!
