A bit off the beaten path but well-grated roads to the site. Stayed at site 6 I believe which was lovely and facing the lake, however was also in direct path of the wind! We had to move sites to a more sheltered one along the river for night two as we only had a tent. If we had visited the site in the heat of summer it would have been perfect - lots of shelter, good wind and great swimming. Early season we needed a trailer or shelter but we made the best of it.

Great campground......only outhouses but they were clean and bright. Beautiful lake and river. Visited Port Alice and did the Alice Lake loop. Stopped at the Eternal Fountain and Devils Bath. Beautiful hikes through the forest. The road from the main highway is windy so bring the gravel for those that need it! Gravel roads are decent........we made it in our Kia Sorento.

10/10 on everything Our site was incredibly clean and so was the rest of campsite. Our host was there daily and usually more than once making sure all was good. Excellent hospitality! Garbage was picked up daily. Everyone was friendly and the body of water was clean and enjoyable. Best camp site we’ve stayed in so far. Can’t wait to come back next year 👍👍

It is a very beautiful campground. Nature surrounding you with every view. So, quite with the trickle of water and birds being the only sounds. Many gorgeous spots to choose from. $30 for lake or river views and $20 for the others. Bear and couger proof garbage containers provided. There are lots of bathrooms as well. A simply stunning place to visit. There are no rooms and limited service as it's a campground, so tent or RV.

Wonderful free camping in late September 2023. Sites are nicely spaced with enough vegetation to provide some privacy. Riverfront sites are the best. Vault toilets were clean. Other campers were quiet and respectful. We enjoyed hiking up the road and a trip to the Eternal Fountain.
