Little America Hotel & Resort - Cheyenne

Lovely hotel with beautiful decor and grounds, especially for the location. The 9-hole golf course looks fun, but unfortunately I couldn’t play due to the weather. I hope to return and play during the warmer months. Seems to be the best roadside hotel you will find in the area. Edit: I returned and I wanted to add a few things in my review. I really appreciate that the property is surrounded by pine trees. It reminds me of home and it serves as a good cushion from the high Wyoming winds that batter the area. I had the ribeye at the restaurant, and it was good, but the onion rings— these might have been the best onion rings I’ve ever had. If you like onion rings, I would recommend traveling to this restaurant just to have them.

We drive into Cheyenne from Nebraska and stay regularly at Little America. Rooms and service always great! But last night we decided to have the Valentines Dinner. We had no idea it would be $80 per person. We figured around $40 like the other buffets at Little America that we’ve had quite often. And the Valentines dinner was less options, only water was offered to us. The prime rib was tough and the other food offered was somewhat tasteless. We will stick to the Sunday buffets from now on that are always good and worth the price.

Have spent the night here two separate times, last time being 2022. Beautiful property and my rooms at least on the ground floor have been NICE and HUGE! I could live in one of their rooms. The gift shop is very nice and everyone pops in for the cheap ice cream cones which FYI are no longer 50 cents like they were for a long time lol. Common areas are kept looking immaculate and looks very upscale. Restaurant used to be outstanding but each time of the 4 times I’ve eaten there it’s gotten progressively a little worse each time. It’s still good it’s just not what it used to be, the food or the service. I’ve popped in there twice before to eat without spending the night because I liked their Reuben. I believe there’s a seasonal pool (don’t quote me on that though) and a golf course, so plenty of things to do while there if you have no other plans. I’d recommend it because of the spacious rooms.

We picked this motel for allowing pets. We had a cat. I made a reservation online and selected the room and received the room price that showed all charges. When I arrived, they charged me an additional $50 for my pet. I think they should include this charge on their website. The room was nice, and the employees were friendly and polite.

When looking for a wedding reception venue, Little America was the only location in town large enough to host our large guest list, and they did a wonderful job. Renee, the wedding catering manager we worked with, was absolutely amazing - the best vendor we worked with during our wedding planning! She was always quick to respond to our emails and questions, made adjustments to everything we requested, and made sure the reception went exactly how we wanted! Every other employee we worked with at Little America was also very pleasant and helpful! Our wedding package deal included two get ready rooms and a honeymoon suite as well - the rooms are old and outdated, but they were clean. Our only other complaint was for the expensive cost, the dinner was not stellar, but they did their best feeding so many people!
