This campground offers a rustic and tranquil camping experience, ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Surrounded by lush forests and close to Elk Lake, Little Fawn Campground provides a perfect setting for outdoor adventures.
While the campground is known for its dry and dusty terrain, especially during the summer months, it remains a popular choice for campers who appreciate the quiet and natural beauty of the area. - Best visited outside of mosquito season (June and July)
Customer feedback highlights the unique charm of Little Fawn Campground. Many visitors appreciate the quiet and remote location, perfect for those who enjoy a more rustic camping experience. A bit dry and dusty. The lake level was very low last year. A good spot if you could not get into Hosmer but want to camp in the area. NO water is available. Sites are mostly unlevel. June and July are mosquito season, so prepare appropriately. Far away enough from the resort/marina to be quiet.
First time camping at Little Fawn. Missed being right next to water. But only had to drive a couple miles to get to Elk lake. Only one spot for water that you have to get a work out by pumping water. So it's more of a rustic area of just being outdoors.
Great spot right by the lake. Nice breeze and shade so it doesn't get too hot. Beautiful scenery and quiet at night. Highly recommend.
Great little campground with a hand pump well for water, two dumpsters and clean vault toilets, when there is no breeze it can get a bit buggy, however, if you don't like bugs, then don't go camping.
Great camp ground. There with a group, nice, quiet, with plenty to do for all age groups.
