  • "My husband and I were passing through Bardstown, headed to Florida, and stopped for the night here. We were pleased with our stay. For a very reasonable price, we had a full hookup. The bathrooms were clean, as was our site. There is a pretty little pond on the property. It was just off the main highway and easy to find. Would stay again."
  • "This is a very nice little campground. Well kept and clean."
  • "Sandy and Sheila were very welcoming and helpful upon our arrival. The campground offers a pretty view of the lake from most sites and is located close enough to a variety of distilleries and plenty of stores and restaurants. Only real downside was the little bit of road noise during the day but it does quiet down at night. However, this is out of their control. We camped in a fifth wheel and would definitely visit again!"

We absolutely loved our weekend stay here on our recent visit to the area. It was a no fuss, quiet, and pretty location that is small and didn’t feel overcrowded or overwhelming. The owner/host was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. There was some road noise nearby, but at night it seemed to quiet down quite a bit. If you’re looking for just the basics, I highly recommend looking here. However, please note that the water & electricity hookups are a shared point that’s split between two sites. There are no individual fire pits, however there is a community pit. Also, only a select number of sites have sewage hookup, but there is a dump site available.

This was our first time staying at a RV campground. It felt like home away from home. We enjoyed our weekend and loved the family atmosphere on Saturday night at Sandy and Sheila’s campsite. The only down fall for us was not having our own fire pit. They are adding that next year 😁 We would definitely return. Bardstown is beautiful.

We had a very warm welcome! Sandy was fantastic and so helpful with information about the area. We took her recommendation to see the Forrest Giants, and it was a great time! My husband enjoyed fishing in the lake. He says to use a frog and you’ll get a bite. We stayed in site 8- a beautiful view of the water. Overall, one of our favorite parks yet!

We had a wonderful stay at Little Patch of Heaven Campground! We came right after the January freeze, and the camp hosts, Sheila and Sandy, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and truly made us feel welcome. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained, and the whole campground had a peaceful, inviting vibe. You can tell they really care about the place and the people who stay there. Highly recommend!

Spent a week here to experience the bourbon trail. Sandy and Sheila are definitely some of the best campground managers we’ve ever had. We arrived on a Wednesday and they actually have a community fire on the weekends. They keep the campground neat and clean and everything up to par. As a home base to travel around the bourbon trail, it doesn’t get much better. Has a wonderful stay. Parked next to a fellow SeaBee.

Nice little campground. 5 stars for bathroom cleanliness and very helpful host. Rating lowered because of site. We booked a lakefront site, but because each site shares utility poles with another site, the back of our trailer faced the dumpster and the front, where we don’t have windows, faced the lake. (The trailer next to us faced the opposite way). There is also no gravel, pad orstepping stones to the trailer door, so you have to walk through wet grass to go in. There is a large, grassy field in between campers and bathhouse too, so you either have to walk through it or all the way around on the road. Generally, not a problem if just using the bathroom, but not ideal if you took a shower and want to walk back in a robe or towel. A few stepping stones would easily solve that problem.

My wife and I spent 2 weeks here to experience the bourbon trail. Sandy and Sheila are definitely some of the best campground managers we’ve ever had. As soon as we pulled in we shared a small pour of bourbon. We arrived on a Saturday and they actually have a community fire every week. They keep the campground neat and clean and everything up to par. As a home base to travel around the bourbon trail I can’t say enough good things.

Sheila & Sandy are the most hospitable camp hosts we have ever come across. We rented six sites for our group to travel some of the bourbon trail. They made sure our trip was most enjoyable. The restrooms are the best i’ve seen (and better than most motel rooms). The lake is gorgeous & Saturday community campfire was such a nice touch
