The campground offers a secluded retreat, with spaced out sites ensuring peace and privacy during your stay, particularly in the weekdays. Though most plots pose leveling challenges and lack water access, the undisturbed nature allows for solitary exploration, heightened by minimal undergrowth in the surrounding forests. You're likely to find clean facilities including a well-maintained vault toilet, but be prepared for limited recreational activities on the water, as the lake mainly accommodates non-motorized aluminum boats and isn't suited for swimming or shore fishing. Nevertheless, the sounds and signs of wildlife from deer to chipmunks bring a vibrant touch to this quiet haven, offering a truly relaxing getaway.

(July 2022)Not your place if you can't handle bugs, no beach (there is a boat launch and dock enclosed by lily pads), silence, and not seeing other people. Campsites are spread out and the pit toilet was extremely clean. Each site has a nice table. Not many places to hike. I didn't see really any signs of large wildlife. There were frogs but they were silent. Saw some rather large rabbits. I did not see any ranger, but they were not needed because everything was well maintained. The road in is a bit primitive for a trailer, mainly due to a couple of tight corners, but I'm sure you could get in. A street car can make it easily. I loved the spot. It was extremely peaceful. The fire pits were deep, the stars were unbelievable, the lake was calm, and it was beautiful!

We recently had the pleasure of staying here at the campground in late October, it was wonderful. Truly one of the best maintained campgrounds we have stayed at in a while, while picking our site we noticed that every site had a fire ring and picnic table, and when getting to our site saw that the fire ring had recently been cleaned out and had stone put it which was very nice to see. We did walk through many of the other sites while staying at the campground (as we were the only ones) and noticed the same cleanliness of all sites, as well as a very clean pit toilet. (which can be overlooked at a lot of campgrounds) We also saw that several sites we larger in order to accommodate the larger rigs that might be staying there. And also a very nice walk to the boat launch, and to the wildlife viewing area, where there was a day use area as well. The views there were breathtaking, and was a very relaxing place to hangout. We do believe that there is a 14 day stay limit here, and being free that makes it a great boondocking destination!

This place has nice private lots with space for small to medium RVs. In would give it 5 stare but the vault toilet is not being maintained due to "covid19". That being said, the vault toilets are clean and well maintained. Fire pits and picnic tables are in good condition. I would advise bringing a small boat or canoe to fish because shore fishing is difficult here.

Great campground. Quite a few bugs (duh, it's nature). Not a pond for swimming. There are leches.
