We stayed here in our 40' converted school bus for 4 days during the off season (late October). The campground was nice and open with all the amenities. Christine was so nice and friendly! Our kids loved her. The office had a good selection of snacks and things to buy. The espresso was hot and much needed during the cold temps. We will definitely be back!
Had the most phenomenal two days here decompressing during a road trip. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. They even took a bunch of extra food and camping supplies off our hands to donate to some locals who could make use of them. The camp store was an absolute slice of home as well. The laundry and shower facilities were very well cared for, and were even stocked with toiletries of every kind. There's a nice little waterfall about a 5 minute walk from the RV sites, with delicious wild blackberries all along the trail. It doesn't get much better. And the air quality was pristine. There had been wildfires a month prior to our arrival this September, but you never would have known. Our two days pause here truly felt like heaven at the halfway point of our month long voyage.
We really lucked out finding this campground for our trip to Lassen National Park. It had everything we needed and we appreciated the excellent service. I actually left my tripod there and we had already made it to Yosemite, I called and they were kind enough to ship it back to me. A nice resort can be easy to come by but kindness and care like the staff here is rare. The grounds were well taken care of and we liked that it was in close proximity to the park. It was also a great value compared to other accomodations in the area. We would stay here again.
We camped in our minivan-camper so I can't comment on cabins/rooms. Camping here was perfect for us, quiet and peaceful in beautiful surroundings, we loved it! The experience was even better due to the lady who ran the office, I think her name was Chris, perhaps Christi? She is an angel! I had to call her several times as we drove to Living Springs due to me missing a turn, going in the wrong direction, then having to back track, adding an hour plus to our arrival time. We made it there a few minutes after the official closing time of the office, and I know she must have been tired and ready to go home, but she hung in there with us. She took care of us and got us settled in. She was patient and kind, and we are grateful for her generosity. I would give her 10 stars if I could. We will be back whenever we are in the area, for sure! Thank you so much, Chris! :-)
We had an awesome time camping here! Our site was right by the water, which made it super relaxing. The bathrooms were really clean, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. It was the perfect weekend, and we can’t wait to come back again. Definitely recommend this spot for a great camping trip!
