I’ve been camping all my life, and this has been my favorite family campground thus far. This was our first time here and thankfully with new owners Jen and Todd, they are incredible. As are their girls. All staff is so kind and helpful! The grounds are beautifully kept, the sites are not on top of each other and the property is full of shade and green, just what I love when camping. Some places you’re just baking in the sun, not here. We made friends with folks staying in a cabin and they said it was nice and clean, which is so important. Clean bathhouses too! They had some great activities for Labor Day weekend, we all had so much fun! I love that they offer dairy free ice cream at the shop too. You guys, keep up the good work! Thank you so much for an amazing weekend! We can’t wait to come visit again! 🥹🙏🏻💜
We randomly found this camp ground and stayed in their cabin for labor day weekend. 3 adults and 2 young children. The cabin was a little tight but worked for us! Very clean- had a 1/2 bathroom, small fridge, microwave, small TV, ac and fan. It was very family oriented and we enjoyed the activities throughout the weekend. The pool was clean and refreshing We loved the creek as well. Price was very reasonable to stay! Store was not over priced which is what I typically see at camp grounds! We would absolutely come back!
Pros: the campground is small so it's perfect if you don't want the noise of a bigger, more commercial campground. The small size also made me feel more comfortable letting my kid run loose because I knew that he was never too far away. My husband, son and I went here for a nice relaxing weekend and that is exactly what we got! We rented travel trailer 2 (site 58) which is ample in size, has a stationary platform/deck and it's right on the creek. The camp store has most items needed if you forget anything and they also have an ice cream shop which is delicious 😋 Very friendly staff as well (great experience with Jenna) as the other campers. Cons: the booking and registration process is definitely clunky. Although I booked the trailer, I still had to complete a registration form upon arrival and be escorted to my site. Each reservation only allows 2 devices to connect to their Wi-Fi and you pay $5/day for each additional device and the Wi-Fi barely works. They did not have a way to accurately collect the number of children coming so that I could prepare enough candy bags for the Halloween themed weekend. I made 60 bags and had almost half left over and it is only slightly disappointing that all the kids were done with trick or treating within 30 minutes. I checked their website before booking and it states their creek is stocked for fishing; I obtained a fishing license, purchased rods, "fake" bait from their store, etc and the creek only has crawfish, tadpoles and frogs! I did not see a single fish while there and it's too low to fish in anyways. I also asked the employee when checking in if it was catch and release and she did not know. There were also very little activities for children and I emailed them to ask about activities beforehand and was told that there is lots to do. Saturday only included 4 activities and it didn't start until 4:00 so my son just played with other kids. With this being said...I would stay again because of the serenity in the surroundings. If you keep in mind that this is a small, family owned campground and you can't expect big campground amenities then you'll be perfectly happy here. The purpose in camping is to reconnect with nature and we were able to relax and do that here.
We just arrived here today and wow, we already love this place. Jennifer at the check-in desk was so friendly and helpful. We were then escorted to our beautiful site, #52, by one of the owners,Todd. We haven't used the pool but it looks clean and spacious. They even have an adult swim time!!! I highly recommend this campground for the service, price and spacious sites! We'll definitely be back here!
We have a seasonal camper here and absolutely love it! New owners this year and the atmosphere is family oriented. We have a great community of seasonal campers. Everyone is friendly and we enjoy our time together.
