A very sweet campground- definitely worth stopping at if you are touring Bonavista & Trinity area. The sites at the campground are big and feel secluded. We had a site along the river and listened to a babbling Brook all night it was beautiful. Fire pits have little grills over them which we used for cooking at our site. Amenities are well thought out, and restrooms & showers were kept very clean. Park was dog-friendly and had great playgrounds. The day-use area is very nice, there is a swimming area and dock. I enjoyed it, would absolutely come back again!
Pros: Wooded campsites on a Brook. Lovely swimming area in day use. Comfort station. Some Serviced sites. Friendly Staff. Fire pits On site. Bagged wood available. Water on Every site. Scenic area. Cons: Comfort station is not centrally located. But black flies were very bad when we were there. Take a dirt road to get there.
This is my first camping experience. The ranger here is very nice and welcome as I arrived late. Check in is pretty smooth and you will get all the information you need. The comfort station in the campground saved my night. I will definitely recommend this campsite. Firewood is CASH ONLY.
Beautiful campground with super friendly staff. The park offers many amenities; dock, pond access, showers, restrooms, day use area, and hiking paths. My rating would have been 5 star except for the advertised laundry facilities. After being on the road for a week, it was time to do laundry. My first clue should have that the machines took quarters. The washing machine worked well. One dryer was out of service, and evidently, it had been so for 2 years. The other dryer had a note saying one quarter at a time so you didn't lose too much money if the dryer didn't work properly. Well, it didn't work at all, and I was left with a wet load of laundry and no way to dry it. All 3 ranger staff went above and beyond to try and resolve the dryer issue, but it's difficult to troubleshoot something that was installed in 1997 and just worn out. I will be following up this review with an email to the park service.
We have stayed at Lockston Path Park many times. We love it. Beautiful Park with great campsites . We enjoyed the fact that most sites are surrounded by trees and so private. Very clean and well cared for. Comfort Building with showers and bathrooms are very clean. Laundry services also. Excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful. View the Beautiful sunsets from the dock . So relaxing.
