Customer feedback highlights the exceptional experience at Locust Lake State Park Campground. One long-time visitor shared, "I’ve been going since I’m eight years old. This is the only place I will camp at. I’m 55 now, and we have just implemented a new tradition in our family, going camping two or three times a year and having family reunions. I love this place and I’d go nowhere else. All the improvements they’re doing are phenomenal. The trails are wonderful, the bathrooms are fantastic, always nice warm water, always clean. Playgrounds are wonderful. Campsites are clean and well-maintained. I love this place❤️🥰."
Another visitor noted, "Beautiful campground, has a beautiful beach area for the kids and family. The only downside is that the bathrooms are absolutely filthy, and if they can keep up with it, it would be a perfect place. I'm hoping with the new renovations they are doing they will update the bathrooms/showers because it really needs it."

I love this place❤️🥰

The park is beautiful and sites are well spaced with lots of trees. The bath house has mold all over the walls and it’s hard to breathe in there due to spores of different types of mold. I have visited many state parks in many states and yes I know that it’s damp and sometimes a bit of mold happens but this was way next level. The ventilation system was not working and rusted. See photos. We asked to have it cleaned but the host was not there and the ranger in charge of the park was not able to be reached. An agent from the office came by and said that nothing could be done. We left and stayed at a local hotel.
Absolutely gorgeous park! We had a great night. Seems like a wonderful place to spend the hot summer days. Awesome bathrooms and showers! Very clean park. VERY picturesque We had a really bad storm last night and this pretty good sized branch fell about 10’ from our tent. That was a bit scary we could have been hurt or killed. The trails could use some maintenance. They’re great but easy to lose your way. This could have been because of the bad storm though. Will definitely be staying again in the future.
Beautiful park, but the swimming area is horrible. I've been coming her multiple times a year for the past 14 years and never had any significant trouble. This year, however, the beach is overrun by geese and is covered in incredible amounts of geese poop. Was not fun at all, in fact very disgusting.
