Grounds are clean and well taken care of. Most of the sites are pretty well shaded by large trees. Cheap Laundry on site, get quarters from the office. Pool tables in the laundry room too. The manager Richard is super easy going and accommodating. There's a nice public boat ramp just a few hundred yards down the road as well. Don't forget to bring bug spray!
I am only commenting on the boat dock area. I will pack a lunch during the week and meet my husband there during is lunch time. They just rebuilt the dock and it looks very nice. They do have a restroom there and only 1 picnic table which would have been really nice if they replaced that along with the dock. The table is not in the shade either. There is plenty of parking. We always see a group coming and going on kayaks from local tours. A nice place.
Lofton Creek Campground is a small park right off of 200. We have a 40 ft motorhome and the owner parked us up front. We would not have fit on any other site. This is not a resort by any measure. It’s basically a horseshoe shaped lot with sites on either side. Most of the campers are long term or contractors who move around every few months. I did not use the bathrooms or showers so I can’t say but the building looked to be in need of some TLC. Probably would try to find another place to stay but it was full hook up and the owner was extremely nice and did fit us in.
Nice quiet atmosphere.. Laundry facilities are decent. Big bathrooms with full shower. I loved it.. I hated to leave.. The price was decent includes cable WiFi electric water trash and u can do a load of laundry for 3:50$/4$
No dogs over 30 pounds allowed. These laughable rules will soon catch up with these dated campgrounds. The younger generation makes up the majority of the camping population these days. We simply won't support silly business tactics like this.
