This place is simply beautiful! The hotel is decent and the cabins are cute buy the older ones are a little rough around the edges! Been camping here for about 15 years with my family. The people are wonderful and the food at the restaurant is really good 👍🏻 They rent boats and the lake is amazing for swimming, boating, fishing and to just look at
Our family has been enjoying Log Cabin Resort for over 40 years. We typically see deer, beaver, eagles, hawks, occasionally bears, and this last summer a woodchuck. The lakes also have turtles, geese, Canadian Loons, an occasional moose, racoons, and more. Fishing never disappoints and it is always best to check in with the staff to see what gear and times are best. The setting is very peaceful and we always hate to leave. Four generations have had great experiences .....so far!
Great location, but this is barely a 1 star resort Very poor customer service. Pictures are misleading as well. Only 2 cabins are brand new. Out of the 4 cabins we rented, all old, Each one and severe water damage issues. BLACK MOLD visibly growing. The shower surround was plywood. Holes in the cabin plugged with tissue paper. These cabins are unlivable, and extended stays will definitely cause you health and respiratory issues. Pre paid 150 for 1 night with 450 total on hold. Deemed cabin unlivable and went to reception to check out. They offered a future stay in their "new" cabin. Declined. Asked for the remainder not to be charged as we were checking out due to health risks. They charged the full 450 for the 4 night stay currently disputing this charge.
We have been going to the lake for forty years now. We hadn't been there for several years due to family reasons. Went back last year. Made reservations for this year. Both times we were greeted by Patrick at the time I didn't realize I had known him as a baby. He was all smiles and still is. The new owners are amazing and working hard to get the camp updated. We stayed in our campers and had a great time and made many new friends and found some old friends. See you next year and hopefully many more.
Breakfast at the restaurant is a great start of a day. Early spring, as soon as ice clears, is phenomenal fishing. Big trout practically jump in the boat. Largemouth bass fishing is great! Fish the reeds on either lake with spinnerbaits. Skip the canal, you'll catch fish but not much size.
