We recently stayed for 4 nights at this Campground. What Jewel of a place. Check in was fast & efficient. We were in Site #2. Nice. Full hook Up. This place is located in just the right location. Great for Day trips. Office Staff was very knowledgeable & friendly. I will definitely stay here again. Right next to highway but, the Mountain Views make up for it. The only downside was, The Duck was nowhere to be found. Nice place for family adventures. I wish I could give it 10 Stars.
Nice little RV park. Spots are pretty close together but there are some trees so it's not bad. Not a lot of space to walk dogs even just around the car park is short. Pool is nice but was closing for the season. Laundry was kinda disappointing 2 washers and 2 dryers not working, one without a sign which caused confusion for quite a few people. Also seems like they had shut hot water to the machines off. Would be nice to know.
This RV park was in an excellent location for local activities. Access to the park itself requires a uturn at a 4 lane divided hwy, and a fairly steep downhill. The park is all dirt roads and fairly tight confines. That being said, the park was quiet, the staff extremely courteous and the price fair. Proximity to the cliff dwellings, wind caves and Garden of the Gods was great! The Garden of the Gods was incredible, not to be missed. But do not waste your time on Glen Eyrie.
We've only camped at state parks before so this was a different experience. The staff and service were excellent. The location was great. It was not too far up the mountain so it wasn't as cold. And it was close to many of the places to visit, like Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods and Seven Falls among others. It was right off the highway but the stream sound was usually louder than the highway sounds. The camp sites were a little small but we had good neighbors. My biggest complaint is the hidden fees. Our site was supposed to be $48/night but it ended up being $62/night because they charged us extra for each our kids and they had a "reservation fee" attached to each day on top of that. However, we did really appreciate the free hot showers and the dinning room that was open 24/7 with heated bathrooms and hot water. They also had hot water and hot coffee available for free at 5:30am. My kids also enjoyed fishing for Rainbow Trout in their stocked pond. Overall, we would stay at this campground again if given the opportunity as long as it wasn't during the weekend or during the high season. This campground would probably be too crowded and packed too close together if it was full. I also wouldn't want to stay in any sites closer to the highway.
The amenities are everything. They have one of the cleanest and best maintained swimming pools I have seen. The kids were delighted to spend their time swimming, playing at the arcade and riding their bikes around. The grounds are rigorously maintained and the staff are very courteous and engaging. I would absolutely stay here with my family again.
