Lone oak campsites reminded me of the movie Dirty Dancing. The campsite offers RV, tent sites, and cabin rentals. Once the sun comes out there are planned activities for all ages throughout the campsite. Two pools, a hot tub and a lake offers plenty of space for outdoor swimming. The weekend we attended was Hawaii theme. They even offer golf cart rental to use as a means of transportation while camping. The staff at the campsite were very nice and accommodating. If you want to take a shower for just .25 cent you can take a shower for 8 mins which doesn’t seem like enough time but it was plenty of time. If you forget something you need for camping there is a store on grounds that offers almost everything you need for a great price. I absolutely loved going and plan on booking next summer.

You can not get much better scenery for a campground. It is very clean and very well kept. Seasonals definitely like to have a good time, but they were awesome and very welcoming. Sites were huge (we stayed on 615 and 616...highly recommend them). Even though we don't take advantage of the activities usually (we like to relax and have a cocktail) there seemed like there was always something family orientated going on. The only 2 things that made it not a 5 star for me was. 1) The young girl in the office at check in was not very friendly. She was not rude either, but she just didn't make you feel welcome like most other campgrounds. 2) For as huge as the place is they should have more than 5 rental golf carts. It really is the only way to get around. At night you don't want to drive your truck around because there are just to many people.

I went today and enjoyed everything was there. Pool was great and clean jacuzzi was amazing almost fell asleep. The camp site a bit small but still great. Electricity and water at camp site. Bathroom clean and smell good. The pond was the downer should be a bit nicer. I also enjoy sitting at the little river. Please pick up after your self stop leaving bottle at the river stream. Staff were friend and helpful. I also has ice cream and milk shake very good and price very convenient. Also had a little incident a lady was a little racist againt us being latino but what ever it will alway happen remember everyone is equal come on people but we know we better then that . The store had everything you need also sell wood awesome. Security alway driving around and seeing if everything is good. Everything is a couple of min apart love it. The playground was really good for kides so far this is the best camp site in Connecticut recommend it to everyone. They do activity at the pool check it out. The showers are 25 cent for 8 min not bad at all. If ypu friend or family rent the site it is 12 dollar per person that goes. I think after 3 there no one there to charge. The Reviewer 85

We stayed here for 8 days on site 20. Our site was very level and a decent size. We had trees behind us and plenty of space between us and the site next to us. The only draw back on this site was we had a path/walkway next to us that had alot of foot traffic. We do not camp with kids, but this place has alot of activities for kids and I would recommend it if you are looking for family friendly. Staff was friendly, decent store and some nice hiking trails. What we didn't like, and this was because of the people staying there, was there are tons of barking dogs. We have three, we do not allow them to bark. I don't understand how someone doesn't hear there dog barking for hours. Alot of loose dogs and one person had their dog locked in their truck all day for three days and it barked non stop. People just walked across our sites, right between fire pit and picnic table. This was constant. This was at no fault to the campground, it is simple camper etiquette. Campground is close to store if you need to shop. Reason we gave it 3 stars was sadly the dogs barking and rude transient campers. I would recommend bringing bikes or golf cart, as it's a very large campground.

Great family experience! Either bring a tent, trailer, or rent a cabin. Always a good time. There is a bar with bands for the weekends, and activity’s for kids. The area surrounding is in beautiful farm area. Highly recommend going with the family

We love the old time feel of the announcements over the speak for the kids activities each day. Our kids ask every year to go back! The adult hangout is also very nice for a quick break. The pools are perfect but we spend most of our time down by the little river with the kids on adventure walks.

Plenty of amenities for children. We rented a skyline spot for 2 days. This unit was disgusting. Idk when the last time they cleaned it, but it was awful. This didn’t seem like much of a campground but more of a trailer park with long-term rentals. The grill was disgusting. We woke up after our first night and left because it was disgusting. T7 unit-Pictures below. The table in the unit, the ac and walls in the living room. I have zero idea who they expect to be okay in a nasty environment like this and it was like $500 for 2 days! Money wasted.
