Customer Reviews
We never would have known about this place except you couldn't camp overnight at Walmart, and another camper told us about this place. I can't say about the view as we came in at dark and left before sun up. Thankful for a place to spend the night.
This is a great sunset viewing place. Nice and quiet at night too. No amenities, so people have left a lot of trash around that get blown all over with the wind. It’s basically a huge parking lot with a few level spaces to park any size rig, park a car etc. ATVs come thru pretty slow and polite ( so far) and it seems a safe space if you happen to camp alone. Rangers come thru 2-3 times a day and seem to keep track of what’s going on . Hiway is close by but noise levels are minimal. It’s free for up to two weeks to park and camp.
We thoroughly enjoyed camping here. We found it easy to get a level spot even though there were 40 to 60 units there at any one time. There are trails to explore on foot or in your ATV. Cell phone and TV reception was good. John, the camp host, was pleasant and helpful.
Boondocking no services close to town, can be crowded. May need leveling blocks as it's not all perfectly flat. 14 day limit, as of feb.14 no camp host. Snowbird heaven tags from all over. We felt very safe here But crime reported in other washes in Feb. Use your head lock up your gear.
Great place for dry camping overnight or maximum 14 nights. Lots of space for big rigs. Easy in and out being just off the main road. Road noise was not really a problem either. Cell service is present but fluctuates depending where you're at and which towers you pick up. Managed to find a spot with 4g on t-mobile on the north end of the campsite. Picked up Verizon okay service as well.
It's a place to park your camper, 25 or so here, and most have ATV's to ride in the desert. Dogs allowed 14 day limit, and nothing about a adventure permit, on the signage this spot is almost free of trash. I saw a broken solar panel let here, and I will throw it in the bed of my truck and throw it away. Leave it better than you found it, type thing . No outhouses, or picnic tables, just a spot, with rock fire pits.
Crowded and loud this time of year. Side by sides will drive right through your camp. People will park so close to your camp when you're to town you can't park your car behind your rig when you come back.
It's pretty, but a little hard to get level.
