We recently stayed at Lonesomehurst Campground and had a wonderful experience. The site offers ample camp stand space, ensuring plenty of room for tents and RVs alike. The camp hosts were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The ablution facilities were impeccably clean, which is always a big plus. Nestled in a peaceful, tucked-away setting, the campground provides the perfect escape while still being just a stone's throw away from town amenities. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene yet convenient camping getaway!

We stayed at campsite 24. It had no view, close to main road. The RV site is very short and with overgrown branches, it is even shorter. I had to make it work. To add insult to injury, we got 4 pieces of wood for $10. It would cost me $100 if I wanted to cook with it. Not exaggerating, photos attached

An easy drive west of Yellowstone with beautiful, clear water. Stayed at spot 15, and it had shade trees and easy access to the lake. Water was crisp and cool. My son did end up with a leech attached to him after swimming, so watch for that. Lots of nature sounds at night, which is cool if you're into that.

Small campground only 25 sites. Site 18 nice large campsite. Next to the vaulted bathroom and water station. This campground has no sewer or dump station. Each site has electricity. Camp host was pleasant. Beautiful lake for boating and fishing. Boat ramp at campground. It was about 8 miles out of town. No playground for children.

Staying at this campsite was the best decision ever! It was incredibly spacious, right in front of a beautiful lake with stunning views, and we had the best camp host—Norm! He was by far the most welcoming and helpful person, and his recommendations were spot on. The campsite was very clean, and the drive there was easy and straightforward. Also, the host sells firewood at the campground , and the bathrooms were spotless—clean and not stinky at all! We hope Norm is there next time we visit!

Had a great time at this campground. Right in front of the lake and only 15 mins from the Yellowstone west entrance/ west Yellowstone town. Norm, our camp host was extremely kind and welcoming and made our stay even better.

We used this as a base to go to Yellowstone NP. All the campgrounds closer are much more expensive. This one is 15 minutes from the West entrance. The location is superb, right on the lakeshore and on the edge of the forest. So quiet and beautiful. The pitches are huge. A few have electric hookup. Some are lakeside. There's a boat launch and there are canoes for hire during the season. We were there right at the end of the season - the week it closed - so the nights were very cold, below freezing. Altitude is 7000ft. Days were lovely and sunny. The camp hosts were a really friendly, helpful couple who enjoy what they do. The pit toilets were spotlessly clean and had a lovely air freshener smell. Highly recommended. @grandrovervoyager
