Free camping/campground just outside of Grand Canyon National Park. This is national forest dispersed camping, you can camp on any forest service road near town. There’s literally a thousand campsites but tourist pile up on top of each other here like it’s the only place. Do not make new fire rings , theres plenty of other places. There’s also a bike path all the way to the canyon and you don’t have to pay to get in.

How sweet is this? 14 day stay limit for free 1/4 mile from the Grand Canyon? Its on National Forest public land so its free to camp for 14 days. Only use existing fire pits and extinguish your fire before you go to sleep. Use local firewood to prevent invasive pests from spreading in from non local firewood.

This was best stop for visiting Grand Canyon! One mile from park entrance and one mile from town. Very quiet but pretty busy. Elk walk though the area, so cool. Make sure you have water and propane before you arrive! NONE in town. Mathers campground inside the park does have water. A great boondocking spot!
