Beautiful park, unfortunately they have made it difficult for out of state campers. The local folks trash the park on the weekends, and it’s virtually empty during the week. Two weeks maximum stay and Florida residents have a huge advantage in terms of reservations. They have got to be losing money now, hopefully they realize the benefits of allowing snow birds to stay for the winter!

Park is beautiful! Although there are 3 bathhouses only one was open. I would give 3 stars for cleanliness. Laundry room was nasty, floor had standing water on it, 2 of the 4 dryer's were working. View is beautiful and ocean/ beach across the street is open to public .

My son and I did an overnight camping trip in a tent with our 3 dogs and had a great time. It was cold and windy so we didn't have to worry about the bugs. We were at spot 157, which is right on the little pond. The firepit was right in the perfect spot. We had a great time! The bathrooms were super clean, much better than some I've seen in more expensive places. We didn't shower because we're local, so I can't comment on that, but overall, we had a blast and love this camping area.

This is a very small camp ground.. And coming in at night. There are no lights any where.Trying to find your spot is not easy.. And the stops are very very small for a motorhome. And are not flat... If l could give it a "0" l would. Took my dog out when I got there and you cannot even tell where you are going it's so dark.. will not return....

The location is beautiful. Far from all the hubbub of a town. The views sites are amazing & some are quite roomy. But for such a big park there really is no privacy & the site we had was really tight. We only have a 24' TT , but it really should've been only for a tent. Also the facilities are not being maintained. The storms took out some of their working parts but it doesn't appear that they are being worked on at all in the 2+ weeks we've been here. So consequently There is only one shower/laundry building (with a couple alt restroom buildings. ) So I would think they would have that building working. The showers are barely able to get water pressure or hot water. The bathroom sinks have pressure but no hot water. It's very nice that they have two dump stations cause they are constantly being used. Two other things to be aware of it that there is a Lot of traffic all day & night. There are so many people moving in and out of these sites & most of them Don't have full hook up, So they need to go dump regularly. Also there are like delivery vehicles too. The last thing is probably just part of being at the river. The insects & No see ums are horrible for those of us that get bitten. Be prepared! I don't know if there's anything they can put down safely but it would be a really good idea. There is always someone in the office & they are friendly & available to answer questions but I can tell you from my experience-they don't answer the phones or voicemail.
