1st time camping in Colorado and it was perfect. Lovely area, beautiful views, quiet, friendly campers. Had the best time, climbed mountains, walked around the lake, rode bikes, had a campfire, cooked over open fire and loved every minute of it. Will definitely return. Absolutely no amenities, bring what you need.
Beautiful place for camping, but be careful there is big bear living around. It was close to our camp
If there is any fish here, we couldn't find them. It was a nice camping spot however.
Seems like the University posted this spot up for all the college students to go to. Trash, loud music, huge campfires, dogs off leash running around pooping wherever, humans too! Also, no fish. Didn’t need to bring a rod to see that. I’d like to see this area gated up for some years for restoration. Beautiful land though. Hopefully changes will happen.
This place has been trashed since Covid. Guns firing into the night, music playing until the crack of dawn, trash, trash, and more trash. And I mean the people too. Hopefully they block this off for a decade or two soon.
