You see, their name starts with adventure. And that is accurate! Very comfortable lotus tents. Wonderful mattress and bedding. Winter night got down to 27 outside, 47 inside with their space heater, very toasty with the electric blanket and down bedding. Beautiful stars. Beautiful sunrise. Nice showers and toilets. If you are looking to try glamping, this is a great choice.
I spent 3 nights here for Christmas break, it was amazing! The heater and blanket were life saver for the winter night in dessert, hot coco was a bonus point. My hubby and I bought some firewood nearby and roasted some veggies for dinner. The stars are gorgeous! It is such a beautiful, relaxing and peaceful gateway. Will probably come back next year!
We stayed at a campsite, like we have the last few times we have come to the Big Bend area and were very surprised to see that not many people were staying at this camp. The facilities were clean and well-kept as always, and we had absolutely no issues.
What an experience. So comfortable. Bed was wonderful, AC kept us cool even in the early summer heat. The bathhouse was clean. Everything at Base Camp was great. The tent even withstood a serious storm with 50mph winds.
Warm bed (electric blanket)in 34 degree weather. Amazingly quiet, comfortable and spacious. The hot shower was great.
