Louisville North Campground Introduce
Louisville North Campground, located at 900 Marriott Dr, Clarksville, IN 47129, USA, provides a convenient camping location within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, primarily for those visiting Louisville. This campground is known for its friendly staff but has received mixed reviews concerning its facilities and environment.
Based on customer reviews, Louisville North Campground is primarily valued for its convenient location for visiting Louisville. The staff is consistently described as friendly and accommodating. However, the campground has several drawbacks. The sites are very tight and narrow, making it challenging for larger RVs, such as Class A motorhomes, to maneuver. The entrance requires a sharp left turn, and it is recommended to unhook tow vehicles before entering. The campground is situated next to train tracks, resulting in constant train noise, although the horn is rarely heard. The Wi-Fi is described as lousy, with slow connections and frequent disconnections. The bathrooms and showers require a key for access, and the showers are notably small. The sites themselves are small, with no grass, resembling a parking lot. Despite these issues, the campground is considered a cheap option for those needing a place to sleep near Louisville. It has been used as a convenient base for events like the Louder Than Life festival. However, it is not recommended for those seeking a relaxing camping experience.

Customer Reviews
Location is apparently good if you are visiting Louisville. I understand the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We were only here one night. We have a Class A. Very tight to get in and lots are very narrow. When coming into the site, stay far to the right of the office building as there is a tight, sharp left turn. You will want to unhook tow vehicle before you start to your site. The staff was helpful to guide you into your site.
If you are looking for a cheap campsite as a place to sleep near Louisville, this will do. If you are looking for a place to stay and enjoy camping, look elsewhere. I had no problem with the staff, and the price was good, but make no mistake. It is a parking lot next to the train tracks. I only once heard the horn over 5 days, but the trains go by constantly, and the wifi is lousy. The connection was slow, and I lost connectivity constantly. You also need a key to use the bathrooms and showers, and the showers are tiny. The site was also small with no grass, and we had trouble getting our truck and our 30' trailer to fit on the site. I used it as a base to attend the Louder Than Life festival, and I don't regret that choice. If you are spending your days there, you might.
Good central location for any events in and around the Louisville location. Had a clean on site store with fuel options. Greenway and tennis courts accross the road. Family owned and they take care of residents and their pets! Dinner theater you can walk to and easy interstate access.
Ok, I get it. If I had a job in the area it's a cheap place to put my rig. For a quick stop overnight it's also ok. The all night train switching yard on one side, the noise from the highway traffic, the airport on a third side, a grumpy clerk who didn't want to be there and almost half the store dedicated to Trump memorabilia notwithstanding, a set of ear plugs dealt with most of the issues, staying in your camper and leaving immediately the next day fixed the rest.
Very friendly inbred hospitality. There was hardly any grass or foliage. Mostly blacktop and gravel. The campsites were so close together that my neighbor’s hookup was in my campsite, and my hookup was in my other neighbor’s way. They had to move over to be able to open their pullout. I was unable to even put down a mat for my dogs. The merchandise for sale had rows if differently colored caps that read idiotic things like: "I’m voting for the Convicted Felon” Why would any sane person want a felon who lies, cheats, steals and doesn’t care about people of color, women, people living with disabilities, helps himself and his family to sell America, take secrets out of secure areas.. Had I known these were the type of people my money was supporting, I would have stayed elsewhere!
