I enjoy coming here to swim and fish for the day. There is a campground here and the water is deep enough to get in and swim with the kids. I do believe they do stock this creek but the area hasn't been stocked recently I'm aware of as it is mainly small wild Brown trout in here. I nearly stepped on a rattlesnake that didn't rattle in the rocky area downstream so keep an eye out while walking with children especially.

A beautiful and primitive Sierra camping experience. No running water, showers or real restrooms, but the amazing Chiquito Creek is ideal for swimming and fishing. Unfortunately, over the past few years, some visitors have been leaving lots of trash, and sometimes large groups show up and can be noisy, hence only 4 stars. Go during the week and/or early in the season for the best experience.

Nice small campground for people looking for a night or two away from the city. It is technically closed due to a forest order for the dead trees even through really isn't any in this campground, but we spent the night here anyways right on the river, it is beautiful. There is a pit toilet bathroom, but since the campground is closed it is not being serviced so bring a camping toilet.
