Came here to camp about two years ago. It was a good place to camp since this is secluded to other place in mammoth. The star lights up the sky and you hear coyotes at night. Wonderful and best experience there is during those nights we camped over there!

Upper and Lower Deadman are our favorite places to camp. It's secluded yet access to Mammoth within 20 minutes . The outhouses have always been clean and it's free! It is a great central location to do daily sight seeing and hiking in the area.. Nice rest stop is about 10 minutes away to get drinking water from a big pump.

I liked it, we and another car were the only ones there. There is a creek right near by, and there are latrines. If the place was crowded I wouldn't like it because the campgrounds have no privacy or separation between them.

It is closed for the season, but there are a few boondocking spots available around the area.

Don't come here unless you like pumice on everything you own. Other than that, the camp host was amazing and the spots were well marked.
