We hade site 9. Seemed to be one of the larger ones. Great spot for tents and a few hammocks. Trees all around. It was perfect for my truck bed tent as I was able to back into a level area. Site 8 was small. Site 4, 5 and 6 have direct river access. Bud was the host. He was very friendly and had a stock to wood for purchase at 9.00. Don’t forget to bring mosquito repellent
we went camping for two nights, it is very beautiful, the bathroom was always cleaned, there was no trash visible. we even bought fire wood from the hostess. we didn’t have any issues with nobody it was calm. we had seen a few deers & heard some cows lol. we love the sound of water waves at night especially the stars wow that was a plus…
My fiancee and I had an awesome time camping here. Our camp host, Bud, was totally awesome! He came by twice a day and checked up on everyone. This is one of our favorite places to camp. Bud made it much more enjoyable. Thank you, Bud!
This was an amazing camp site! We went hoping to find an open site for the night and found quite the gem at Lower Provo River Campground. The site hosts, Doug and Arva, were so welcoming and always there to help when we needed anything. The bathrooms were always very well kept, as was the camp site. The River was flooded so there was a ton of areas to get your feet wet and listen to the water flowing. Highly recommend this site!
SUMMARY: Best Sites are 9 & 7 - Worst Sites are 10 and 6 Stars are for the campground as a whole, but not for our campsite. We stayed at campsite #10 and if I could rate it separately, I would give it a 2. The campsite was large and could fit 2-3 tents, however it had very little shade. The other thing we didn't like about it was the location of the fire pit. The fire pit was abnormally far from the picnic table, and very close to the spot we had to park our vehicle AND the road. And next to the fire pit is a large bush, which didn't leave much room around the fire pit. We only had 4 people so we made it work but if you had 5 or more, it would be difficult to fit everyone around the fire. It also had a direct line of sight to our neighbors in site #6 (which in our opinion was our least favorite site due to the lack of shade and open visibility to multiple other sites). This campground had a few really nice sites though (see below), clean bathrooms, dog friendly, and an awesome host, which is why we are giving it 4 stars! Here's the sites we liked: Site # 5 - This site is large but does not have much shade (a few scattered pine trees). The thing it has going for it though is its size, which works really great for groups. Also, it's right next to the river. I don't recommend this site for groups with kids though. The river was flowing VERY fast when we were there and it made me nervous to have my kids near it. If I was a parent camping at that site, I would be under constant stress of my kids or dog getting too close to the water. I think it's a great site for adults and teens though! Site # 9 - This site has PLENTY of shade and tree coverage for better privacy from the other campsites. Looks like a smaller site though. Site #7 - In our opinion, the BEST site at this campground! Plenty of shade, lots of space for multiple tents, and it has a little creek that runs through it, which is fantastic for kids to play in. It's also not backed up to any other campsite, so there's lots of space to explore and have fun! We'll be trying to stay at this site on our next visit.
