I find that the US Forest stations are very well stocked with all the maps, and visitor information needed to have a successful stay in the area and the Lowman station was up to the same standards. Very courteous and helpful staff and had all the answers to my questions.

this is such a beautiful area. The views are spectacular and the river is so wild near here. The hot springs just east of here at kirkham are right by the road and great for some interesting photoshoots. I especially like this in the winter. The hot water keeps you comfortable but the steam looks amazing in the pictures.

We had to stop by there after a long drive and being lost in the forest overnight. It was fun to watch the rangers come and go and listen to them talking about where to work next. I didn't bother them they just allowed us to park in the parking lot for a couple hours while I tr5y to get my head together and figure out my next plan.
