Customer Reviews
West Sedona in Sept of 2022 highly restricted dispersed camping in the area of FR Rd 525. There is now 5 DESIGNATED camping areas ONLY. Nolan, Greasy Spoon, Cockscomb, Windmill and Suprise which is closest to Hwy 89A. I have not stayed at Windmill since it always is very crowded.
There are only a few allowed camping areas within this region. Surprise and Windmill are small, single loops with the expectation of wall to wall parking. This is NOT your typical dispersed camping. The porta-potty seems to be clean, I didn't use it, but it didn't smell. For a place to crash for the night, it'll work. If you're looking to spread out and enjoy peace and quiet, this isn't the spot.
Snowed up around 8:45pm in April, after dark, and easily found a spot for the truck.
