Our party of four adults reserved a site at this campground. We were looking forward to a fun camping experience. We were coming with two tents and were assured two tents would fit. Once we arrived we were immediately disappointed. This is NOT the type of campground we pictured. It really should be classified as an RV park. There are 12 campsites....right in a row....close together like sardines. Our campsite would have been sandwiched in between two RV's. On gravel with a patch of grass in front. It was clearly an RV spot. No fire pit, just a portable fire cage. No picnic table, and no privacy WHATSOEVER. It seemed like a community of people that has probably been there for years and all knew each other, so naturally they were having a great time. We knew instantly we would not be happy here. When expressing this to the girl in charge, very respectfully, she fetched the "president" of the "campground" who was very rude and unwilling to make it right. By making it right....i mean not even a partial refund was offered and we had paid in full. They were only entitled to keep the deposit amount. We lucked out though. After talking to some locals, we found out about Lake Carlos State Park, only about a couple of miles away...they had a cancellation just within an hour of us arriving and it was exactly what we had in mind..... in the woods....spacious.....private.... and we could easily fit our two tents, screen tent, boat and our two vehicles. it was wonderful and the staff the was extremely friendly. If you're looking for a true tent camping experience, Lucky Acres is BY FAR not the place to go. They were not upfront with what we should expect. I'm guessing all the wonderful reviews are made by those who are part of this community. I wish I could post a picture of the "campsite" they expected us to use. Such a joke. Very unprofessional and not good customer service.

The host was great, she helped us out while setting up camp by bringing us wood, bait, and ice without us asking. Camping neighbors were awesome some of the nicest people I've met in Minnesota. I would suggest this campground over all the others I checked out. If I could give 10 stars I would.
