Stayed in a deluxe cabin for 3 nights. It was our first experience at renting a cabin as we have a travel trailer but husband is having health problems so we opted for a cabin. Very good experience, it’s clean, well stocked. Not many here as we stayed during weekdays, camp store wasn’t open, and didn’t need any services such as laundry or bathhouses. Only about 30 minutes from Ludington where we biked. Would definitely stay again!
Camped here with my family a couple weeks ago. (Two adults and three kiddos) VERY spacious camp sites, absolutely amazing service. I especially loved all the events and things to do so your kids are occupied! The young woman who set up the event was so kind and patient. She even did a spectacular little glitter tattoo on my kid! I asked this woman her name and I believe it was lexi? Come to koa when you get a chance! It’s great!
stayed in the deluxe cabin on the property with mini kitchen kitchen, 2 rooms and a loft. Made for a very comfortable get away. The kitchen & bathrooms had the essentials (soap, pots, pans, utensils, cups and bowls).
I took some time to read 1 - and 2-star reviews to address some concerns, and it looks like they are from more than 2 years ago. Personally, if I know what to expect beforehand, I have no issues with each KOA's unique quirkyness. With that said, I have been to campgrounds that let you know ahead of time that there is no wifi. This KOA has an open line (no password), but we had trouble getting wifi the entire time. They tried to reset the router, and as you can see in the pictures, we were next to the tower, but we were unable to get wifi the entire time we were there. That is not a big deal to us, but if you plan on working remotely, take it into consideration. I can't speak for the cabins, but our site #104 was great. We were close to the jumping pillow, playground, and pool. There were so many activities for my son to do that he was wiped out at the end of the day. He made friends easily, which had him outside playing until dark every day. The staff is incredibly friendly, and my son had a blast at the pool party. We only stayed 2 nights (Saturday & Sunday) and the majority of campers left Sunday morning. Even though there weren't a lot of campers on Sunday, the staff made sure the kids had plenty of activities. There was a group of campers celebrating a birthday way past quiet hours(2am). My husband had trouble sleeping, but it didn't bother me. Making memories and hearing the excitement in my son's voice over something fun he just did is worth it to me. We were near the dog park, and my doggies had fun running around. There are 2 showers in the ladies' room near the office. Depending on what time you go, there may be a little wait. The showers are clean, the water hot, and great pressure. I can't wait to go back.
Nice site. Firewood was $8 and the wood burned horrible ( not dry enough)! They show great slide on their website but it is only open a couple times per day for 1/2 hour and you have to pay an extra $10 per person to go on! No WiFi! The sies were nice though! I wish they would of had trails or a nicer are to ride our bikes
