Beautiful, romantic walk with my fiance. From the beach it was a 2 mile walk to the light house. My only wish is that they had benches because it really would be a beautiful place to take in the view part of the way there at least lol.It was a beautiful walk. My only regret was not starting earlier because the lighthouse closed just as we got there . We walked the 2 miles back on the other side which doesn't have the water view but is was a nice walk as well just wear good shoes not water shoes for that way lol.

GORGEOUS! The best state park in Michigan! We love going here a few times a year! The town is charming, with shops and restaurants, and the marina is beautiful! The beach access is plentiful, pick your spot! The lake is SANDY not rocky, and the sunsets are awesome. We'll be back!

This park is absolutely beautiful! We hiked Lighthouse Trail and had basically the entire trail to ourselves. It was a difficult one but it was so worth it. Michigan should be proud of this park!

Family friendly state park. Trails, fishing, kayaking and bike riding relaxing by the fire. Super clean restrooms. The boardwalk is always fun to walk and explore. The lighthouse is a must.

One of my favorite state parks in Michigan! We try to go here at least once every couple of years. This park has multiple Lake Michigan beaches, as well as a warmer beach on Hamlin Lake. Great campgrounds, multiple hiking trails, and miles of dunes. You can also kayak or tube down the Big Sable River.
