Visited in July, a big field with many camp sites before climbing peaks. The campsite are very nice, surrounded by stoned walls. Sunset from here is beautiful. Also, enjoy seeing the light from sunrise shine on the peak when stepping out of the tent early in the morning.

A bit of a slog with a pack, but well worth the visit and a great place to acclimatize for a climb to the top of Mt. Adams. There are abundant campsites scattered across this relatively sheltered and flat shoulder of Mt Adams at around 9500'. Over the years people have build up rock barriers around tent sites to shield them from the wind. Wonderful views of Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens to the south and Pikers Peak to the north. Be sure to mark your campsite coordinates with an app in case the area gets socked in. Finding your tent in a dense cloud can prove difficult!

Beautiful spot with amazing views, you can see Mount Hood and Mount St Helens on a clear day. Of course Mount Adams is right there as well. It's about a three to four hour hike up to lunch counter totally worth the effort.

I do this hike every five years and find it the most spectacular, with its views of Mt. Hood and St. Helens at the counter when clear. In the summer season, you won't use all your equipment but always prepare. It still has small glaciers you might be crossing, and high winds are inevitable. I can't recommend this hike if you are not in shape. At the minimum, you should be able to jog 5 miles to make it comfortable.
