We normally do our fall break camping trip in Western NC, but due to the hurrican devastation, we made a last minute booking here instead. Our family stayed 4 nights in a camping cabin with the "extra elbow room" and really enjoyed it! Cabin 1 had a mini fridge, microwave, TV, ac/heat, and was clean and roomy! It also came with two chairs on the front porch. Our 9 and 12 year old stayed busy and entertained with everything that they had to offer. The campground has a jumping pillow, playground, corn hole, horseshoes, shuffleboard, ploypong, Foosball, tetherball, basketball hoop, and Gaga ball pit. I really appreciated that they provided soccer ball, basketball, kickball, etc. You can also do gem mining for a small fee. I also like that this campground was not as large and spread out as some, making it convenient to walk back and forth to everything. Bathrooms were plentiful and cleaned regularly. We picked apples at Morris orchard, and their apple cider is a must try! We got lunch and delicious pie at Woodruffs, which was just down the road. We also tried year round skiing at Liberty Mountain Snowplex Centre in Lynchburg, which was so much fun! All of the campground staff members were friendly and very helpful. They pick up your trash everyday, and deliver firewood right to your site. Our car battery was dead on our last day, and one gentleman went above and beyond to help us. It made a lasting impression and solidified our decision to come back again!

This is a great place! The staff (I wish I remembered their names) were incredibly friendly and helpful. The bathrooms/showers are nice. Small but nice pool, jumping pad, playground, a few outdoor games, and laundry. There are lots of trees and it is tucked away nicely, so there is no road noise. 25 minute drive to the Natural Bridge area. The KOA in Natural Bridge was booked, so we did this one; but, we ended up glad we got this one instead because it was so great!

We stayed one night at this campground in our class B van. The staff is friendly and attentive. There are plenty of activities for the kids-- swimming pool, playground and more. The sites are close together, but not the worst I have seen. The bathrooms and showers are A+. They are clean, air conditioned with shower, toilet and sink in each private room. There is a nice pond to go check out and not a lot of road noise. We would stay here again without hesitation!

This is a very nice KOA Campground! All of the sites offer plenty of room with ample space. The owners are fantastic! The playground is awesome for the kids and the dog park is a nice plus for your furry friends! The location couldn’t be any better. Only a 5 minute drive to the parkway and a 30 minute drive to the university. We will definitely be back.

Decent park. The spots are extremely close together and isn't really big rig friendly. My wife had to walk us out because we were so close to hitting trees. Also, if the bath house is by your spot people just walk right through your spot to get to it. Also, they love car passes. They will have someone setup in a golf cart making sure you have a car pass. At one point we had two people run out the office door to flag us down because they couldn't see the car pass hanging from the mirror. They will charge $5 a guest to enter the park. So, if anyone wants to come visit you while you are there they better be ready to fork over some money. The WiFi isn't great either. First night it didn't work at all. Second night it was decent. Cell service is next to none with AT&T or Verizon. GPS will bring you in on a extremely windy road with some crazy turns and a low over pass. If you are able to come in through Lynchburg. The road is better that way. Just know you will lose cell service on the road at multiple points also. I never found a dog park. Only a small grassy area that had a clean up station. But the gnats were terrible over there. You won't have any grass on your lot unless you get lucky and get one of the few back in lots that has grass. Everything is pine bark and gravel.

We had made reservations at this KOA and were excited because we had been looking forward to staying here. A sudden emergency came up which forced my wife to have to undergo surgery. We are KOA VIP members and have always received great service wherever we stayed. This time NO! We called and asked if we could just move the dates but the response we received was terrible. They wouldn’t even consider a change. They were just eager to take our money. I can say with these people I will NEVER BOOK HERE AGAIN! I can’t believe they are allowed to be KOA! If i could give them a zero rating I would.

Very well-kept campground. Bathrooms/showers were clean and well furnished. The campground itself was very well manicured and has been maintained perfectly. The WIFI was pretty good too. Definitely will be staying here again.

Very friendly staff. Large level sites. Got a "campfire kit" that included a fire starter and the makings for s'mores. Big dog park. Campground conveniently located at the mile 60 entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, which was our destination for the next day. A bit pricey but KOA has always been dependable for the price.
