The owner was so nice and accommodating for us. We had an absolutely great stay!
We needed to pull over for 1 night to rest while traveling. There are no amenities, no bathhouse, no pool, no pretty landscaping. What this place offers is electric, water and sewer for $40 a night. Cash. Make sure to call ahead before going. David will be sure to meet you out by the road and escort you to your spot. He knew we wanted to stay connected to the truck. He gave us a level spot. It's less than desirable for vacation but perfect for 1 night stop with FHU.
We love it here. Mac Is amazing and very sweet. The people come and go and Mac makes sure that everybody is happy. It's quiet at night you listen to the frogs the cows The crickets and occasionally the train going by beautiful sunsets and great fishing.
Stay here often, peaceful and quiet. Zero amenities but full hookups. Mac is awesome but this place is not for everyone. If you are looking for a typical campground, you are not going to find that at Mac's. It is completely unique
Fishing was decent but that's about all there is to do, unsightly clutter about.
Dave was a great help with getting me a spot for the night with full hook ups and gave me a veteran discount. Thank you so very much! The lake was nice to see and be around.
