I think the whole island is the state park beautiful place. Lots of roads, lots of heels, private residence, horses, carriage, it just kept going on and on. Beautiful flowers Throughout the whole island everywhere you turned around. There is some different flower that you haven't seen before around every property parks. Hotels, they were just everywhere. Select the theme of the whole island I think they even have a flower fest. So when you come here, make sure you got good hiking shoes and you can also bike ride around the island for $65, we had a great bike. The 2 of us and bite you can rent 2 hours of 4 hours. We did 2 hours and we were able to right around the island in that time. We stopped a lot along the way. Saw some sites of course, the shoreline was beautiful. Clean. There's even a rest area where you can get it a snack, that's by the British landing. A lot of history and fact about the indians who lived here and the life that they were living and how they were treated.

Great experience. Wish there would be more room for people to bike at a good speed around the trail, but otherwise no real complaints.

We've been coming here for over 20 years. It's always a treat. The island has so much to offer. A walk and/or a bike ride are a must. And you're doing yourself a huge disservice if you don't take a dip in the water during your ride or walk. It's truly a place that you need to explore and experience on your own.

Such a cool, unique place that is like taking a time machine back to a more peaceful and simple era! Everything about Mackinac is well maintained and beautiful. Get ready to do plenty of walking as there’s no cars! It’s a great place to bring your dog if they like lots of walking. It’s crowded in the summer, but not overwhelming.
