We stayed here at the end of Aug. 2024 for 10 nights. Site #256 was the best site in the campground for a Tent camper IMO. Plenty of space for a 10x14 tent and a fair amount of separation for the other sites and very close to the restrooms. The restrooms were cleaned multiple times a day and the staff at the campground were amazing. One of the water spigots was not working and after telling one of the staff members about it, there was a couple guys checking and fixing every spigot in the loop within 30 minutes.
We enjoyed this place! The campsites are pretty close to one another, which we didn’t enjoy too much. Bathrooms are within a reasonable/short walk. It does not have showers. It is a short walk to a beautiful river. No cell service, which we didn't mind at all.
Came in early October 2024 as weather is still hot here in Yellowstone. The staff are so nice and accommodating. I told them the parallel tent site was too close for comfort as we were car camping ⛺️ and they switched it for me, so thankful for that. One downside is there’s no cell service or WiFi. Really wish Yellowstone can get a couple of Starlinks, I will definitely pay for the service when I’m here. Also everyone is super close to each other so not much privacy
We got a bear box, fire pit, and a flat place to camp. What more could you ask for! We fly fished in the river behind the campground and listened to coyotes howling as we fell asleep. We will be returning to enjoy the great outdoors!
The staff was so friendly, personable and informative upon check in. Flush toilets and dish washing station but no showers. sites were really close together as to pack as many people in as can fit im sure. Heard Coyotes at night. The location was great for us. We drove down from Mammoth the first day set up and went and saw Old faithful, The the next day we spent as a "Geyser day" and visited all the way out to West Thumb and back, with a couple more stops at old faithful.
