Great spot for primitive camping, hiking, trail biking, and stargazing. Hipcamp app makes it easy to book your stay, and the host is friendly and proactive in communication. Getting there was easy with the instructions from the host, although a sign to indicate Hipcamp turn from an asphalt road to dirt road would be helpful. Dogs are welcome! I can’t wait to go there again during another wild flowers super bloom.
Wonderful no frills campground just 90 mins outside of LA. Perfect for some stargazing and to get away from hustle and bustle of city life. And a good rest stop when heading further east
Summer is very hot, very windy, not far from the city, but very quiet, many stars, recommended
Booked through Hipcamp - super unique with the door floating on top of the hill, and absolutely fantastic stargazing at night (with great sunset and sunrise as well). The place is really nice and well-kept as well. Pretty easy to find (right off E-8) - highly recommend!
Ideal location for stargazing! Flowers during the day were also excellent, can't wait to come back
