We enjoyed the Caretakers Cabin so much. It’s cozy, clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our Thanksgiving break (I packed so many things I didn’t need because the kitchen was so well stocked!). It was a super relaxing few days for us. The animals were an added bonus! My kids enjoyed all the Harry Potter details inside and outside of the cabin. So glad I found this place. It will be an experience my kids will talk about for years to come.
The staff and owner are beyond friendly, the cabins are kept extremely clean and I am just in awe at how beautiful everything is. We stayed in the queen cottage and every last detail inside and out has just left me speechless. This place truly is enchanted, something straight out of a fairytale book. The perfect place to escape reality and feel at peace. Animals are well kept, happy and just overall the most beautiful and sweetest animals I’ve ever seen. I’m counting down the days till I can go back!!
The staff is extremely friendly and the property is secluded about 15-20 minutes outside of town. It's a cute little campground but it's geared more as a mountain cabin getaway than a campground. There are 5 spots for rvs which are extremely close together and the dump station is in a strange spot causing you to have to turn you camper around to dump then spin it around again to leave. Also when you arrive, you can only back into the sites from the blind side of your rig. The creek is beautiful and there are many hammocks along it for guests to enjoy. All in all it is a cute little hideout in the mountains that's worth checking out at least one time.
We had the best stay! The grounds are adorable and truly feel magical. The animals make for such a cute moment of something different. We were all over the mountain during the day and then evenings we could walk the property and play with the animals. It was the best way to end each day! The detail in this place is incredible. Shannon and her staff were so friendly and welcoming. We can’t wait to visit again and see her vision completed.
This is THE PLACE to camp!! Mary Shannon was so kind, welcoming, and what a group of talented people and artists that created this place. It is a magical wonderland. We spent labor day weekend then with my 11 and 7 year old daughters and had the most incredible time. Memories in the creeks, playing the giant board games, touring the magical cabins, the list goes on and on. Mary Shannon even creates daily animal care taking experiences for all the children. We will definitely be back for many more stays!
My husband and I stayed in the Caretakers cottage a couple of years ago. They were renovating part of the property but they showed us around everything and made sure we had everything we needed. They even gave me a birthday gift! It was secluded but close to a very nice little town with little shops and not far from a bigger city. Everyone in town was even nice and made you feel immediately at home. We will definitely be back!
My grand daughter and I stayed in a cottage last year and it was a great experience. The accommodations were very nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Plenty of activities to do both on site and locally. In the past year they have added a petting zoo and done many other upgrades. My grand daughter and I along two additional guests we are going back next week for a girls weekend. I have no doubt we will get the same awesome experience as last year. I would love to make this a yearly tradition. Thank you to Shannon and her staff
This trip was perfection. Shannon was very hospitable. She allowed me to nerd out and view the other empty cabins. She allowed me to feed the animals, and she even gave me a Harry Potter treat since she knew I was there to celebrate my love for the Wizarding World. The whole campground was nice, clean, quiet, and friendly. Lots of hammocks, swings, and chairs to enjoy the sound of the rushing water in the creek. We plan to revisit in the future! Thanks again, ladies!
My boyfriend and I went and stayed the night here then spent the entire next day just exploring. Shannon and her staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful. This beautiful place has so much love, heart and soul poured into it. You can see at every turn how much Shannon has poured into making this place magical. We had an amazing time viewing the cabins, laying in the hammocks by the water, spending time with the animals and just taking in the peace and quiet. Thank you so much for all you do Shannon we look forward to coming back and seeing what you will do next!!
We stayed in the campground and one of the workers was kind enough to give us a tour of all of the cabins. Amazing!!! We own a resort in Wisconsin and got so many cool ideas to try here. Over the top in the best way. My favorite part was the cupcake scent in the candy cabin! How unexpectedly awesome! We did it here, with pine. Will definately be back!
