MainStay Suites Port Saint Joe South

I had the pleasure of staying for a night at this lovely hotel. The room was spotless, smelled nice, had excellent AC, plenty of towels, comfy clean bed and even had a small kitchen! Their hot breakfast was really good and they even had free chocolate chip cookies. They had a great selection of snacks and drinks available for purchase. The room I stayed in is pet friendly, allowing my little Chihuahua to join in on the vacation. The hotel is located pretty close to downtown PSJ and the beach. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a simple, comfortable and clean place to stay while visiting Port Saint Joe, I highly recommend this place.

Stayed over the New Year with our Great Dane Puppy! We felt very welcomed from the entire staff. They made us feel as we had the most famous puppy in the world... they all Loved her! We loved the trolly for New Years and James the driver was awesome he made the entire night! We will for sure be making plans to head back next year! Thank you all for the awesome stay!

We stayed for 2 nights, all the staff was super friendly and helpful. We were on the 3rd floor. The hotel is a smidgen dated, you can see some wear but honestly it was far better than other hotels weve stayed in. The room was clean, like I said a little wear but expected. Breakfast was your typical continental breakfast. We enjoyed it. Pool looked beautiful didn't use it though. Our room had a nice kitchenette set up. The fridge and freezer was perfect size, not a mini fridge but like one for a dorm. Definitely will come back again

This location is a newer hotel. It is conveniently located, and has ample parking. The staff sets this place apart. Every staff member you see speaks to you to say hello, or have a good day. They are so welcoming and helpful. Kudos to the management of this hotel. The hotel is well maintained. We saw landscapers and other maintenance people attending to things. Our room had a great floor plan and was very clean. If I had to name one negative, it would be the lighting in the bathroom. Not quite right for putting on makeup or shaving. The bathroom lighting was too dim for our liking. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked great. The pool was a nice size and had patio tables. Breakfast was included, but we were on vacay and didn’t get up early enough for it. Cookies, coffee, and juice is available throughout the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I would happily book there again. Make sure to book through Choice Hotels and not a third party.

Great location for Port St Joe and Appalachicola. Huge rooms with Kitchen suites. Quiet and comfortable.
