Malibu Campground near Logan, UT, offers a family-friendly camping experience with plentiful shade, river access, and flush toilets. Ideal for groups and families, it's conveniently located but can experience highway noise. My family has been coming here once a year for the past 35+ years. The shade is plentiful, but there's also a meadow big enough for lawn games, even a softball field. The hosts this year were amazing. They stopped in to check in on us, enduring we were happy with the accommodations. The restrooms (flushable) were cleaned and stocked everyday. Close to the Logan River, with a little swimming hole to jump into for a refreshing break from the heat. The only con - it's also right next to the highway. There's inconsiderate people that feel the need to honk as they drive by. It doesn't bother us enough to worry about though. Ammenities were good. They had plumed restrooms that were a little on the worn down side, but it is camping. I did not see showers. The Logan River runs through the campground, so a wonderful place to cool off if you want to wade. Thhere was a lot of shade. The mains drawback for us was being in group Campsite 1, we were all of 100 feet from the road, and the cars were plentiful throughout the night and not terribly quiet. If you are a heavy sleeper, nice campfround. Plus, only being ~5 miles up the canyon from the eastern edge of Logan makes for quick runs to town if you forgot something.

Nice shady campground. Group site B is next to the highway 🛣 so it's a little noisy, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. Other than that, it's a really great spot for large groups. It had a lot of sticks on the ground-almost impossible to get rid of all them, so if you are staying in a tent I suggest a groundcloth.

Nice shady spots, nearby trails, and river access. Great views. The only downside is the proximity to the highway. It is really loud in the spots closest to the road. Some spots have hookups now, and the group areas are huge.

It's funny from year to year how the camp host changes and the amount of time you're allowed to park your extra car at your campsite changes. Even though you're allowed to have eight people you're only allowed one car. I don't know very many people who have cars that will fit 8 people so plan to pay the extra $7 per car unless you want to park your car out on the open highway overnight. The camp host was gruff and rude. Pounced on everyone when they first pulled into the campsite for the $7 for the extra car. You had to quickly dump everything out of your car onto the campsite and get it out of the campground. You couldn't even set your campsite up or your tent before you had to move your car. The water was really high this year so the kids couldn't get in and play which hindered having as much fun at this campsite. Also there was a lot of standing water around with mosquitoes.
