Nestled in a serene natural setting, this group campground provides an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts to connect with nature while enjoying the convenience of group camping facilities.

  • Environment: The campsite is surrounded by stunning landscapes, offering opportunities for hiking and exploring the park's trails.
  • Facilities: Malibu Creek SP Group Camp provides essential amenities for group stays, including communal spaces designed to accommodate multiple tents and outdoor activities.

While the campground boasts a beautiful and spacious layout, it is important to note that RVs, trailers, and vehicles must be parked at a designated lot approximately 600 feet away from the actual camping area. Campers are required to transport their gear to the site, which may involve multiple trips. The absence of hookups and limited restroom facilities adds to the rustic charm but can present challenges for some visitors.

Guests have shared mixed experiences:

  • Positive Aspects: The campground is described as a beautiful spot with clean facilities and a peaceful environment, making it ideal for those seeking nature.
  • Negative Reviews: Many visitors express disappointment due to the lack of RV parking, safety concerns from feeling separated and exposed, high costs, limited amenities like hot water, and poor Wi-Fi service. The process of transporting gear adds inconvenience, especially for larger groups with vehicles.

Malibu Creek SP Group Camp is best suited for those who value nature and are willing to embrace the challenges it presents. Visitors are encouraged to carefully review the park's guidelines and consider these factors before planning their stay.

Worst camping experience ever! If I could give this place negatives stars I would. While the group campground is beautiful, our experience this weekend at a this group campground was worst we've ever experienced! Pros - Beautiful and spacious Cons: You cannot drive your RVs/Trailers/Vehicles nor park at the actual group campground. You have to haul your stuff from the designated group camping parking lot which is about 600 feet + to the actual campground. Luckily, we had wagons to carry our stuff, but had to make many many trips. The website did NOT mention that we would have to carry our stuff to the campground. Three out of 4 families from our group had RVs/trailers, so we ended up sleeping in the designated group parking lot because we could not park at the actual campground. The other group was able to set up their tents at the campground, however, we felt unsafe as we were all separated. W This set up does NOT make any sense to us as we have never been to a group campground where we had to park far away and sleep in the parking lot rather than at the campground. We asked the rangers why and we were give different reasons as to why we could not park at the actual campground. What is the point of the group campground if we cannot all sleep in the same area????? Because the group camping lot was open, there were other people driving in and out of our group parking lot where we have our RVs/trailers/cars parked which made us feel unsafe as we would be at our campgrounds and we can see people driving in and out of our spaces but we could not see if they were doing anything to our vehicles. This group campground is not cheap either, we spent $452 for two nights. The restrooms/showers closer to the campground were closed so we had to walk further to use the other restrooms and showers. We will never camp at Malibu Creek SP again nor would we recommend this place. The worst experience we've ever had. Some of the rangers were nice and some were not so nice! We've had other issues, not going to mention. However, we would not have had to face all the issues this weekend, if they would just let us park our RVs/trailers/vehicles at the actual campground. The website should be clear and concise and note when people are booking this place that you cannot park your RVs/trailers/vehicles at the actual group campground and would have walk your stuff to group campground. If they had mention that, we would have never booked the place! So disappointed and feel like we wasted our money this weekend!

Beautiful spot, BUT OVERPRICED. No hook ups, no hot water to wash dishes in. $1 for 3 min ish of hot water in the showers. EXTREMELY bad wifi and bad service. Clean and quiet. But again, extremely overpriced.

Awesome campsite. Be wary of the weather forecast, it gets 10-15 cooler at night than predicted at the group site.
