  • "Mallet's Bay Campground is a very beautiful spot. Right across the road from Lake Champlain, it was not too crowded, the campers were quiet and our tent spot was perfectly located. The restrooms were nice and clean, the shower was hot, although it could have had a little more water pressure. A bit pricey for a tent spot with electric but worth it I think." - Guest Review

Some trashy guests / residents were loud, drunk, standing naked at the entrance of the restroom. Not only that, the campsite was infested with mosquitoes!! As soon as we exited the car, they are all over us. This essentially ruined my week long trip to New England and Canada. It is not the fault of the staff (very kind!) But I will never come to Vermont during the summer months, ever!

We didn't camp here but we swam in the pool, played at the playground, and skateboarded at the little skate park all for $5/each (for the pool). There's also tennis courts and a great covered area for eating with a few grills. Plus the backdrop of Mallets Bay was beautiful. Plan on returning:)

3.5 stars is what I want to give the campground. If you are using this as a base of operations the compound is perfect... that is if you can get into your site. The sites are small and packed on top of one another. Our original site (66) must have been a seasonal originally. The sewer pipe was in a weird location and the neighbor's sewer pipe was on our site and would have been under our awning. There was also a huge pine tree at the front corner that kept us from being able to maneuver and getting closer to our sewer connection. Fortunately the campground was not sold out and we had a few other options to move to. The power there was great always running around 120v. The bathrooms were clean. The pool was nice and refreshing. There is a big park right next door with tennis courts, shuffleboard, basketball, skate park, beach volleyball and a playground. There is a town beach directly across the street where you can watch some awesome sunsets. There are a few bike paths that are directly accessible from the campground entrance. All of the people there were very friendly. An overall nice place to stay.
