Great experience doing The Grand Ave tour. About 4 miles with a 4 1/2 hr walk. Stairs and hills to climb. Ranger Alex was amazing. Was so excited by the history and evolution of the cave. Gave great stories that explained how the park came to be. Highly recommend doing this if you are interested in caving.

This was a fun N.P. aside from having a fantastic cave system. The history behind this place is something that you can't pass up on. While on my visit, I did a few tours, and Ranger Kelly was a gem! Very knowledgeable, full of fun factoids and great tour guide. Keep it rocking ranger Kelly!

Must ! Historic tour for 1 st time visitor which we did in the morning and in the afternoon we did domes and drips. If we were to stay another day , we would have done grand Ave tour . But we were there for only 1 night stay so stayed in park lodge which had all comfort of motel . Subway is outside the park 10 minutes away, if you need that . They do have Starbucks for breakfast coffee. Do not rely for sandwiches/ bagel . We forgot our clothing there and staff was very helpful in mailing it to us ( we paid for shipping ) . Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to explore nature and must do if you are in Kentucky

This is my first time at mammoth cave and I am amazed by the arrangement, setup and its maintenance. Great place for family trip. Mammoth Cave National Park, located in Kentucky, is home to the world’s longest known cave system. The park offers a variety of tours, from easy walks to more adventurous spelunking experiences, showcasing stunning formations . We could not see the bat as they were hibernating during winters. Beyond the caves, the park features beautiful hiking trails and opportunities for camping. Its natural beauty and rich history, including its role in early American exploration, make it a fascinating destination for nature and adventure enthusiasts alike. We booked the tickets online as they get sold very soon. We booked the historic tour and it was just amazing. They also blacked out at one spot for few seconds to experience how this cave looks in dark, that was just amazing feeling. Fat man’s spot was fantastic. Must experience the visit. It got little warm inside due to walking so heavy jacket is not required. If you wish you can wear mask to avoid the cave dust. Overall trip is for 2 hours. Enjoy

Is it the prettiest caves? No. Is it amazing? Yes. Done several tours over the years and have not left disappointed. The camp grounds are nice. If the shower situation is the same, it's meh at best. There is plenty of above ground hiking, but it's mostly a walk in the woods, which is still nice, the real glory is underground. It's a glory hole, if you will. Spend some time going through the exhibits in the Visitor's Center. If you can only do one tour, make it the Historic tour, but there are plenty to choose from.
