Maple Bay Campground exceeded our expectations! The stunning lakeside views and well-maintained facilities made for an incredibly relaxing stay. The campsites were spacious and provided just the right amount of privacy. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always available to answer questions or give advice on local hiking trails. The atmosphere was peaceful, perfect for family time or just unwinding in nature. We especially enjoyed the easy access to the lake for swimming and kayaking. It’s clear they take pride in keeping everything clean and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back—highly recommend this spot for a perfect camping getaway!
For being Cultus Lake it's not a bad camp site. It's at the back of the lake so you don't have the issues the main beach side does. It is loud though. Not due to the campers usually but just the local traffic. The sites are well maintained and clean and park officers are friendly. If I camp at Cultus it's at Maple Bay. As a local I usually avoid the lake all summer but my son had kayak lessons so we stayed at the lake and it was a blast.
Maple Bay Campground is a delightful spot for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, earning a solid 4-star rating from me. The campground's proximity to the lake offers stunning views and easy access to water activities, adding to its appeal. The facilities are well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. However, one drawback is the noise from the nearby highway, which can be quite disruptive, especially for those seeking a peaceful getaway. Some campsites are situated close to the highway, so if tranquility is a top priority, it's worth requesting a site further away from the road. Despite this minor inconvenience, Maple Bay Campground offers a great camping experience overall. The beautiful surroundings, convenient amenities, and friendly atmosphere make it a fantastic choice for a weekend retreat or a longer stay. Just be prepared for some highway noise if you're staying in one of the sites near the road.
Had a great time! A few minute walk away from the gravel beach. Close to the highway so you do hear traffic but far away enough that it's completely bearable. Campground is maintained and the rangers were nice. The bathrooms had warm showers!
Very happy with our stay here. Affordable rates, clean, not too noisy, lots of shade from the summer heat, and close to the amenities of the town of Cultus Lake.
