Great campground. Peaceful, and quiet. Really roughing it. You even have to bring your own water. Lol The only complaint, and its not one that can be fixed, really, was the smell of the outhouses. But in saying that, it was a hot week, and out of the control of anyone. Other than that, great location, beautiful lakeside campground. We utilized the lake every day we were there.

Another wonderful rec site to camp along lake cowichan. There were plenty of campsites to choose from around this time of the year but I can see how crazy it can get in the summer time. Make sure to bring cash, water, garbage bags to pack you stuff out. The staffs were super friendly and accommodated. We got our own access to the beach and penny, again had a great time swimming!

We absolutely loved camping here! The sites are well groomed, large, and well spread out, so you have a fair amount of privacy. The outhouses were extremely clean and spacious. And the staff were very friendly. We will be back 100%

Wow what a hidden little gem this place is. It's a first come first serve only campground but that's almost the best part. The sites are very well spaced out with a great variety of different sizes and accommodations. It has some truly amazing walk to tent campsites that are practically right on the lake. The restrooms are outhouse style of course and they seem well maintained. There are plenty of them spaced throughout the park and as someone who uses crutches full time it's not far too one at any part. The group sites are well spaced away from others to help with sound. There are plenty of spaces right along the lake and some wonderful hidden spots all in a wonderful west coast forest setting
